2010: The Shape of Leadship to Come...

All of us here at Leadership! wish you a very happy New Year!

As we all know, trust indices are at an all-time low, both at home and abroad. For those of us charged with the task of studying leaders and Leadership, a number of questions present themselves more sharply than ever... What will the current crisis mean for already established leaders like Gen. Stanley A. McChrystal? How will emerging figures in the field of Leadership seize on the uncertainty of the old guard in 2010? And, perhaps most interestingly, how will the field of Leadership as a whole change in the next 12 months?

What follows is a multimedia glimpse into the crystal ball that might offer a few answers to the questions posed above. Behold Leadership in the year 2010!

When one admits that nothing is certain one must, I think, also add that some things are more nearly certain than others. - Bertrand Russell

Inventories can be managed, but people must be led. - H. Ross Perot

Illusions commend themselves to us because they save us pain and allow us to enjoy pleasure instead. We must therefore accept it without complaint when they sometimes collide with a bit of reality against which they are dashed to pieces. - Sigmund Freud

Bad times have a scientific value. These are occasions a good learner would not miss. - Ralph Waldo Emerson

Trust no one unless you have eaten much salt with him. - Cicero

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
